MY REVIEW :
‘Rafflesia – The Banished Princess’ by Gautam is a lengthy yet interesting book and has the details of the potragonist past and present life. The blurb of the book has so many questions which will only be answered by turning the pages of the book. The cover of the book is good but it could have been more better. The book holds story of Appu which will make one emotional at times. The plot of the book is quite good and it also tells the bond of friendship that Appu and Rahul has. The book at one point seems to be a fairy tale but later after turning more pages, the author shows the other side. The struggles in Appu life has been very well described. In short, Rafflesia – The Banished Princess is a package of human struggle, dreams , emotions and friendship bond. The author could have skipped few parts or have shortned it. One need to have patience while reading this book. The language of the book is easy and the narrative style of the author is good. Overall, a wonderful read.
