MY REVIEW :
The first thing that a person notices when he or she picks up a book is the cover of the book. The cover of the book was very well designed. The blurb was even interesting. The book is all about a soldier’s life. The book opens up with Arpan sitting with his brother and sister and watching movie. At that time, both of them demands to listen a story from Arpan. He shares the recent encounter with the terrorist. Arian was living his life at home during vacation. Arpan spent his time with family members during those holidays and he goes to meet his childhood friend Shradha. They were talking about their respective life’s when Arpan received a call from his commander informing him that his leave has been cancelled. This book contains story of two soldiers. The narrator itself plays a vital role. The book will remind you of your school data. From your friend circle to your first crush and relationship all are wrap up in this book. Like most of the Indian families, the girl family refused to get her married to the boy she loves. Yes, the reason behind is also the same; caste and society. This book is a tale of friendship, love, love for country and sacrifice. The poetic lines between the chapters were quite nice. The book was a lengthy one and some part could have been easily shortened. It was an emotional read. The ending was quite unexpected and sad. The language of the book was surely easy to understand. Overall it was a nice read. One can always read it and enjoy it.
